About Me

I grew up in Tampa, Florida, and spent my youth studying and riding horses. I pursued my undergraduate studies in religion at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island — an enriching experience that I would not trade for anything. After graduating, I spent a year working in Ecuador for an NGO, conducting public health research in an underserved region of the Amazon troubled by oil contamination. I then returned to Brown for medical school and subsequently came to Oregon to complete my residency at Oregon Health & Science University in internal medicine. Oregon, especially Portland, has been a wonderful place to live, and I have set down roots here in this beautiful metropolis.

About my practice

I am excited to be part of the hospitalist team at Kaiser Permanente. Working in the hospital is a very rewarding job for me. I love getting to know my patients over the course of their hospital stays, both from a medical and a personal perspective. I take pride in being the best advocate for my patients, providing efficient, thorough, and humanistic medical care.

How I thrive

I lead a well-balanced, healthful life. I exercise regularly, lately through Orangetheory (which is quite intense). I spend my time off typically taking care of my home and my dog, and cooking and sharing meals with friends. I am very close with my family, both my own parents and those of my partner, and try to visit both several times a year.
