About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I first came to Kaiser Permanente in San Diego in 1994 during my training as a resident. When I graduated from the residency program at UC San Diego in 1997, I was hired as a staff Ob/Gyn. I now help coordinate the activities of the Ob/Gyn residents who still rotate here from UC San Diego.

Biography

Although neither of my parents ever went to college, the importance of education was always emphasized in my home. I was first introduced to the field of medicine when I was a college student at UC Santa Cruz. As a biology major, I participated in a volunteer program in the Emergency Department at the Santa Cruz Community Hospital. It was at that point that I realized I wanted to pursue a career in medicine. Once I went to medical school and started my clinical rotations, it became obvious to me that I wanted to do obstetrics and gynecology, and I have never regretted that decision.

About my practice

My favorite thing about my practice is that I get to spend my days taking care of women. I make a point of taking time to listen to your needs, and I get great satisfaction helping you address both your physical health and your emotional well-being.

How I thrive

I enjoy spending time with my family. Long walks, yoga, and camping in the wilderness also provide me with peace of mind. My husband, son, and I are very active and appreciate our time outdoors. Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve is one of my favorite places to walk and breathe. We have taken up biking as a family activity and are all enjoying the exercise.
