About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.

Biography

I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and members, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health. I’m a native Southern Californian and third-generation Kaiser Permanente physician. I discovered I wanted to be a doctor at an early age, and began working in hospitals when I was thirteen. This choice was based on my observations of the physicians in my family and their ability to make a huge impact on the lives of the people they cared for.

About my practice

As a surgeon, I have a special opportunity to help maintain and improve the health of my members. The thought of surgery can be frightening and stressful. I do my best to alleviate any fears, and eliminate stress from the perioperative experience by taking the time to connect with you, explain things clearly, listen, and answer any questions that you or your family might have. I feel honored that members have entrusted me with their care, and I strive to treat them as I would my own family.

How I thrive

I believe in Kaiser Permanente's emphasis on the well-being of the whole person, and I try to live well emotionally and physically every day. Family is a major priority in my life. I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two sons on hikes, vacations, at Chargers’ games, at the beach, and by simply relaxing at home. In addition, I enjoy surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, listening to music, painting, and traveling.
