About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page! Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself and share a bit about my practice. It is important that you feel comfortable when choosing a surgeon. I hope this page will help you get to know me, and I look forward to meeting you in person.

Biography

I was born in Germany but spent more than half of my life in California. I attended college at UC Berkeley and medical school at UC San Diego. I had an interest in neuroscience since college and therefore decided to pursue the field of neurological surgery. I completed my training in neurological surgery at UCLA. During my training, I did a 12-month clinical fellowship at Kaiser Permanente’s Los Angeles Medical Center in complex spinal surgery. Upon completion of my training, I joined Kaiser Permanente’s neurosurgery team.

About my practice

I am privileged to be able to help people lead more functional and healthy lives through surgical and medical treatment options. I believe that every member is different. I spend time listening to members to understand their individual needs, and I tailor my treatment approaches accordingly.

How I thrive

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my wife and my daughter. We enjoy going to parks, cycling, and traveling.
