About Me

I am a daughter of the Pacific Northwest and after a brief foray to the South, returned home to finish my training at the University of Washington. After my fellowship I joined Northwest Permanente, P.C. and am glad to be here. I am grateful for the chance to change lives and help others. My time is spent between a busy practice and even busier pair of little boys at home. I enjoy traveling with my partner and children and rediscovering the world through their eyes. In additional to travel, I enjoy photography, exercise, writing, and basic tom foolery with my kids.

About my practice

As a radiologist, the chances to interact directly with my patients is limited. I don't mind being an "anonymous" part of patient care. My job is serve our patients to the best of my ability whether by catching an early tumor, diagnosing an emergent, life threatening condition, or giving an "all clear" follow up to a cancer survivor. While radiologists don't receive many accolades, our patient's continued health is thanks enough! In addition to my radiology practice I am currently Division Chief of Ultrasound Services for Northwest Permanente.

How I thrive

Laugh. Whenever possible. The value of a good sense of humor is priceless - even in trying times. There was a line in a movie that said, "Laughter through tears is my favorite emotion". I laugh with my children, friends and family. My father passed away of pancreatic cancer at the age of 58 and kept his sense of humor to the end. He also had this piece of advice: "Don't sweat the small stuff and it's all small." I respected his perspective and took it to heart.
