About Me

Thanks for visiting my Web page. I've been in practice with Kaiser Permanente Southern California for 21 years. After doing my residency training in family medicine at Kaiser Permanente in Fontana, I worked at the Colton Medical Offices for a few years, then moved to the Riverside Medical Center. My time is equally divided between teaching our family medicine residents, performing administrative duties as physician-in-charge of our facility, and serving as a medical quality reviewer.

Biography

I grew up in Southern California, attending high school in Orange County and college at UC Irvine. After four years of medical school at UC San Francisco and the birth of two daughters, we came back to Southern California to be closer to our families. The aspects of medical practice I enjoy most are teaching patients and residents and helping diagnose and solve medical problems. My patients' courage in coping with illness is a daily source of inspiration, and I value the long-term relationships we share.

About my practice

I encourage my patients to be closely involved in their medical care. They can monitor many of their lab results at Kaiser Permanente's Web site and e-mail my office with questions. My medical assistant handles most phone calls with the help of our nurses. If I'm not available to see you, the other staff doctors in my module or our resident doctors occasionally provide backup.

How I thrive

I believe we are all responsible for our own health, which is based on good habits and lifestyle. I enjoy jogging, cycling, or the gym almost every day. A healthy diet, regular exercise, supportive relationships, and being aware of stress are the keys to health.
