About Me
I grew up in south Texas/Montery, Mexico. Subsequently, I lived in Southern California and then moved up to the Northwest in 1989. I have two master's degrees; a Master of Arts in Cultural Anthropology and a Master of Science in Counseling.
About my practice
My counseling perspective is primarily based on what is known as "choice theory/reality therapy" which is a type of cognitive behavioral approach. The specific population I work with are clients with drug & alcohol problems.
How I thrive
I walk my two dogs (Rio & Ginny) daily. My other primary interest is related to motorcycles-specifically choppers. Twice a week I do volunteer in leading Smart Recovery groups.
