About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I have been a Kaiser Permanente member since I was born. It is a pleasure and privilege to come full circle and work for Kaiser Permanente to help members care for their health.
Biography
I was born in Los Angeles, at a Kaiser Permanente medical center, and I spent my youth in Southern California. I attended college and medical school at UC San Diego. I did my surgical internship at UC Irvine before completing an anesthesiology residency at UC San Francisco. After residency, I completed a cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowship at UCLA. I am proud to be a product of the University of California system. In addition, I have worked abroad in Argentina and the Dominican Republic. I am fluent in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
About my practice
I am a cardiac anesthesiologist at the Los Angeles Medical Center. I work on a team of cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, and other physicians, together with perfusionists and the operating room nursing staff to help take care of you when you undergo cardiac procedures. My job as an anesthesiologist is not only to keep you comfortable and pain-free during your operation, but also to keep you safe and make the transition to the recovery period as seamless as possible.
How I thrive
I believe in maintaining life balance. I am passionate about my work, but believe that it is important to lead a full life outside of work as well. I love the ocean, so I use every free opportunity to head out to the beach for a quick swim or to catch a few waves. It keeps me grounded and allows me to be a better physician.
