About Me
I was born and raised in Southern California. Soon after we got married, my husband and I visited the Pacific Northwest, and we fell in love with the outdoorsy culture. We knew we wanted to plant our roots and raise our family here. We moved to Washington state a few months ago and are excited to make it our home with our 3 beautiful children. I knew from a young age that I wanted to pursue a career in health care because I loved the sciences and helping people. As an undergrad at UCLA, I worked in the ophthalmology department. That experience inspired me to pursue optometry. I was a provider at Kaiser Permanente in Southern California for more than 10 years, and I loved their multidisciplinary approach to care. I'm happy to join the Washington region, where I have the chance to be part of another exceptional team of health care professionals who deliver the best possible care to their patients.
About my practice
My areas of expertise include ocular disease and contact lenses, including specialty fittings for various corneal diseases. My goal is to provide patient-centered, compassionate care. I strive to be an active listener, and I make it a priority to ask my patients about their concerns, lifestyle, and interests so that I can better meet their visual needs. I believe strongly in preventive medicine and a coordinated approach to care. It's important to me to care for my patients' visual needs as well as their general health and well-being. After each exam, I make sure to thoroughly educate my patients with my findings and recommendations so that together we can work toward better vision and health.
How I thrive
My family and I love being outdoors and exploring trails, parks, and playgrounds. Swimming and playing tennis keep me motivated and inspired. We love reading together as a family, and you can often find us visiting libraries and museums. I love reading modern fiction or a memoir while enjoying a good cup of coffee.
