About Me

I am a native Californian and love the weather, diverse landscape, and cultures we experience here. I am married with two children who keep me on my toes!

Biography

I was born at a Kaiser Permanente hospital, and am happy to come full circle to care for women and deliver new Kaiser Permanente babies. I grew up in the Bay Area but now consider myself a Southern Californian! Although I recall wanting to be an architect when I was five, I resolved to go into medicine from age six and on. I went to Berkeley for my undergraduate studies in molecular biology, away to Texas for medical school, and then back home for residency again. I love to read the news and my husband and I love to discuss world affairs, technology, and innovation on a regular basis!

About my practice

I enjoy caring for women in all stages of their lives: from the onset of periods in adolescence, then pregnancy, perimenopause, and finally menopause. I love the integrated health care system at Kaiser Permanente; I can grasp the whole picture of your health as all the medical records are easily accessible, and your primary care physician is a quick email away. I like to focus on preventative health strategies and will work with you to find the safest effective treatment plan for your needs. I do perform minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopy) if necessary. I look forwards to meeting you and your family.

How I thrive

I get my exercising chasing my two toddlers and have a cycling bike at home. I Would love to start a yoga or Pilates program soon. I love to cook and will try a new recipe or two every week. My husband and I will go to live theater several times a year. We have several favorite TV shows (60 minutes, Homeland, and The Barefoot Contessa) that we enjoy watching!
