About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself and tell you about my practice. I believe that Kaiser Permanente provides all of our members with high-quality health care.

Biography

I joined Southern California Permanente Medical Group over 22 years ago as a staff gastroenterologist at the Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Medical Offices after completing my internal medicine residency and fellowship in gastroenterology in the Bronx, New York. I grew up in New Delhi, India and immigrated to the United States in 1985. I had a dream of learning and practicing medicine with the best in the world. Kaiser Permanente allowed me not only to practice with top-notch colleagues but has helped develop my leadership skills and has given me the privilege of leading 490 physicians. My wife is a breast cancer survivor and our daughter is in college.

About my practice

I practice part-time seeing members with gastrointestinal disorders and performing endoscopies. I was also instrumental in bringing pancreaticobiliary endoscopy—the technique used to remove stones from the bile duct and relieve jaundice from pancreatic malignancy—to the Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Medical Offices.

How I thrive

I am a passionate believer of work-life balance. Our family has a membership at a 24-hour fitness club and we all try to go at least four or five times a week.
