About Me
I grew up in New York but always wanted to live in Colorado for its beauty and lifestyle. I decided to become a doctor because it is a rewarding career. It allows me to help people every day and pursue a calling that is never boring, constantly changing and always challenging. I was attracted to pulmonology and critical care after working under an excellent attending physician mentor while in medical school. He really enjoyed his work and taught me a great deal in a brief time. It is a fun and fast-paced field that balances taking care of very sick people in the Intensive Care Unit and developing long-term relationships with my outpatient pulmonology patients. I am honored to be recognized as a 5280 Magazine Top Doctor in 2022.
About my practice
My approach to patient care is collaborative with you at the center. When meeting a new patient, I take the time to get a comprehensive history and thoroughly review your medical records. I feel it is very important to not miss any clues or pertinent details upfront so that I can provide the most effective care plan from the start. Your input and feedback is critical to developing a successful treatment plan that is tailored to your specific wishes, beliefs and health goals. In the Pulmonology department we have a large team of doctors, nurses and a nurse practitioner available to help me provide you high-quality health care. My goal is to provide the most appropriate and cost-effective care to treat you in a timely manner. My patients have described me in the following ways: “thorough,” “shows genuine concern,” “he listens to me,” “I never feel like I’m being rushed,” “professional, knowledgeable, & caring” and “very personable.” I see adult patients with lung conditions. I have trained to do a specialized type of bronchoscopy called endobronchial ultrasound.
How I thrive
In my spare time, I spend time with my family and enjoy hiking, yoga, travel and live music.
