Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and members, and look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I was born and raised in Hawaii and grew up as a Kaiser Permanente member. I fell in love with Southern California during college, and I’m now lucky enough to call it my home while at the same time keeping my ties to Hawaii. Growing up, I knew I wanted to be able to make a real difference in people's lives, and practicing medicine gives me that opportunity.
I’m involved in all aspects of general surgery. I’m a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, but I’m also here to help you when you’re sick. Surgical problems are not always an elective event. However, even elective surgery can be a stressful time. I will try to make your experience as smooth and comfortable as it can be. I want to be your partner in health, and it helps me better care for you when you are actively involved in your health and recovery.
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. Making sure that I have enough time to spend with my family is essential. We like to do just about anything outdoors. I also try to set aside time to just relax.
