I'm a native Coloradan and only left for a few years to learn how lucky I was to be raised here. After pursuing graduate studies in neurobiology and teaching in Kenya for two years, I realized my passion really was personal relationships that I build with people. I received both my medical degree and completed my internship and residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 2003. I choose to work at Kaiser Permanente so that I have all the tools and support I need to give the best patient care I can give.
I really strive to create an environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and asking questions. I want patients to be an active participant in their care. I like to verbalize my thinking, lay out options, and work with patients to create the best plan of care for their life and health goals. I believe medical care is multi-faceted, and I enjoy exploring with patients the many aspects of their lives that impact their health. I enjoy taking care of families with a particular focus on geriatric patients.
I strive to have a balanced personal and professional life. I'm passionate about my exercise time. I enjoy biking to work, running with my husband and son, and quiet time in my garden.
