About Me

I moved from the Midwest to Colorado for graduate school 20 years ago. After I completed my first master's degree in international & intercultural communication, I recognized its relevance and application to the field of social work, prompting me to pursue my MSW. I feel it is so important to continue to study and learn so I may evolve as a clinician to better serve my patients.

About my practice

Populations: Adult, Family, Group, Seniors. Specialties: Anxiety, Bipolar, Depression, Eating Disorders, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, PTSD, Schizophrenia, Transgender, Trauma, and other chronic conditions. Interventions: CBT, DBT, EMDR, and ACT. My primary goal is to provide compassionate care to all members. Drawing from evidence-based research and a variety of treatment modalities, I collaborate with my patients to devise treatment goals that are tailored to them. I believe it is a privilege to be included in a patient's journey of healing and growth. I will support you with each step and I will challenge you, as well. In addition, I work with other providers to help coordinate your care. While I have several clinical interests, I specialize in the areas of trauma and transgender services. Specifically, I am trained in EMDR.

How I thrive

As a former yoga instructor, I recognize the importance of mind/body/spirit connection, care and balance. Spending time outdoors, appreciating the arts, connecting with friends/family (including furry members!), and enjoying delicious, fresh food all contribute to my self-care.
