About Me
Raised in Wisconsin, I completed graduate school in Portland after finishing my Peace Corps service as a teacher in Nepal. I knew I wanted to live near mountains and have been happy to make my home in the Pacific Northwest for 25 years. My pronouns are he/him/his.
About my practice
I feel honored to practice social work and mental health therapy. I’ve worked in many settings and with people from many cultures and backgrounds. I have trained in many treatment approaches, but research is clear that goodness of fit between therapist, patient, and technique is more important to a good outcome than any specific therapy.

How I thrive
I have practiced meditation intensively for 30 years and was a monastic student as a young man. I like to read, and I enjoy all things nerdy, including comic books, Dungeons and Dragons, and Star Trek. I regularly hike the mountains of the Pacific Northwest and am also an avid fisherman and football fan.
