About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I’m a maxillofacial surgeon. Maxillofacial surgery is a combination of art and science. I feel very fortunate to be able to work in a field I love, and being your doctor is both a privilege and an honor.
Biography
I grew up in Africa, but moved to the United States at the age of 11. As an undergraduate I attended UCLA, where I met my husband. We eventually married in the exact spot where we first met. I subsequently completed UCLA dental school, medical school, and my residency. Needless to say, I'm a proud Bruin!
About my practice
After 14 years of training at UCLA, I found a fulfilling and challenging opportunity at Kaiser Permanente to begin my career as a maxillofacial surgeon. Now, I’m proud to be a part of a surgical team that performs more maxillofacial and orthognathic surgeries than any other establishment in the greater Los Angeles area. My area of practice is a dynamic and exciting field that includes a broad scope of reconstructive and orthognathic surgery of the face and jaw due to trauma, congenital deformity, and pathology. Our department is constantly evolving and has access to the latest progressive technology and surgical advancements.
How I thrive
I stay healthy by leading a balanced life, surrounding myself with family and friends, work I'm passionate about, and many hobbies—including Pilates, kickboxing, and surfing. Also, I’m certain I have the greatest dog in the world.
