About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I look forward to helping you care for your feet. I’ve worked at Kaiser Permanente for almost 29 years; my current practice focuses on clinical podiatry (i.e. no surgery). I love Kaiser Permanente and hope you do too!

Biography

I graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1985 after completing my fourth year at USC Medical School. My surgical residency was done at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center. I went into private practice for a few years, and then joined Kaiser Permanente Fontana in 1988. I became the lead podiatrist at Fontana in the early 1990s where I primarily worked as a podiatric surgeon. I have two board certifications: podiatric medicine and foot surgery. In late 1997 I transferred to our Baldwin Park location to be closer to home for my children. In 2000 I joined the Vascular Surgery Department as their podiatrist, working to save limbs. I became the first podiatrist in the USA with an registered veterinary technician (RVT) degree. This team was quite successful and received two Everyday Heroes Awards for having very low amputation rates. I also received an award as one of the San Gabriel Valley's Women of the Year in 1999. I gave up emergency surgery in 2013. I now work as a general clinical podiatrist for Fontana, Redlands, and Ontario Medical Centers on an as-needed basis. I am actively involved with the California Podiatric Medical Association where we "Keep Californians Walking" and hope to get elected to the Executive Board.

About my practice

As a general clinical podiatrist at Fontana, Redlands, and Ontario Medical Centers, I primarily move from location to location treating various aches and pains of the feet that do not require surgery.

How I thrive

I go walking every day trying to put in my 10,000 steps so I can Thrive. My 90-year-old mother-in-law lives with my husband and me; I care for mother-in-law every morning and night. I like to cook healthy meals and my favorite cookbook is Whole30. I love birds and have a beautiful aviary that my husband built. I love to garden and help my husband grow fruits and vegetables. My children are all grown and either working or studying.
