About Me

I am a Southern California native, raised in Santa Barbara. From there, I moved up the coast to study biochemistry at University of California, Davis. I took a year to work in a lab and decided that was not for me. I attended medical school at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) and completed my residency back at the University of California, Davis. I enjoyed the Northwest so much during my time here that I decided, as I left for residency, that I would make my way back. Currently, I am living with my spouse in the Happy Valley and am excited to start my career in this beautiful area.

About my practice

I believe that education and trusting relationships with my patients are key to the optimum healthcare, and more important than any drug I can prescribe. Once settled in, I hope to be a mentor by having medical students shadow me in clinic. I also hope to reach more people through volunteer work in the community. I have a special interest in LGBT healthcare and I welcome patients of all genders, ages and backgrounds into my office.

How I thrive

I hope to get back to many extra-curricular activities that were put on hold during my residency, such as: singing in a local chorus, practicing the piano, travel, taking up Tai Chi, and spending time with my family, friends and loved ones.
