I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia, and moved to Colorado for my residency training after having grown up in the South. My husband, also a family doctor, and I love Colorado so much that we couldn't leave! We enjoy living the outdoor Colorado lifestyle with our sweet dog. We still bleed red and black, and you can find us cheering on our Georgia Bulldogs and watching SEC football any weekend in the fall.
Family medicine is the perfect specialty for me because I get to take continuous care of patients of all ages with different backgrounds and medical complexities. I'm passionate about evidence-based medicine and cost effectiveness, which I incorporate in my practice. I think it is very important to have shared decision-making and allow patients to take ownership of their health care by discussing both the benefits and harms of medical therapy and screening. I am especially interested in adolescent care, sports medicine and procedures (including IUDs and Nexplanon, skin biopsies, joint injections, etc.).
I thrive by spending time outside hiking with my husband and dog. I also enjoy exploring new places around Colorado, visiting national parks and doing landscape photography.
