About Me

Growing up with asthma gave me a lot of exposure to doctors' offices at an early age. It was those interactions, with wonderful physicians, that initially sparked my interest in medicine. It wasn't until medical school that I discovered orthopaedics, which is my passion. With my family a short distance away, in Northern California, I couldn't be happier to have landed in the Portland/Vancouver area. Being outdoors keeps me grounded and I've found that this area fits my personality and interests perfectly.

About my practice

I have received specialty training in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. I love all aspects of my specialty from the challenge arthroscopic procedures to getting people back to the activities that they love. I also perform general orthopaedic procedures, such as joint replacement, which keeps my practice well rounded.

How I thrive

I mentally thrive by staying passionate about my work and by keeping up to date with the literature and new procedures in my field. Outside of work I physically thrive by running, hiking, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and biking. My newest interest is yoga, which has been a great stress manager both at work and home. Although I haven't had the opportunity to participate in overseas work recently, I have found operating in Honduras and Haiti to be 2 of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I hope to continue this type of volunteer work in the future.
