About Me

Hello and welcome to my Web page. I go by Dr. Moya.

Biography

I was born in Southern California but was raised in Denver. I returned to California for college. I became a physician because I’ve always been fascinated with the human body and the science of medicine. I initially wanted to deliver babies but found I preferred to help people throughout their lives. I decided to become a family physician so I would be able to see people from birth through older age. I appreciate different member needs and do my best to accommodate different lifestyles, appreciate different cultures, and respect different wishes. I’ve been practicing with Kaiser Permanente since 2009. Prior to that, I worked at a medical clinic in Oxnard. I speak both English and Spanish. Spanish is my second language—I learned it primarily from my family and the members I treat. I practice in both clinic and urgent care settings.

About my practice

I’ve found that I most enjoy interacting with members face-to-face. I pride myself on being a great listener, and I try to address all of my members’ needs during each visit. I make a practice of following through with whatever plan you and I decide on as a team, and I always make your health my top priority. I focus on prevention, and emphasize screening and the importance of health maintenance.

How I thrive

I promote healthy eating for my members and for myself. I like to walk and ride bikes, but swimming is my preferred exercise. I have a supportive social network of family, friends, and colleagues that help me maintain focus and reduce stress.
