About Me

I grew up in Atlanta and moved out to Colorado for my undergraduate degree at Colorado College. After college, I worked as an EMT on an ambulance and then as a professional firefighter. I enjoyed the 911 medical calls and after 6 years made the career change to medicine. I received my medical degree from the University of Colorado in Denver and then completed my family medicine residency in the Denver/Boulder area.

About my practice

My goal is to enable my patients to live the healthiest lives possible. I believe your health is always a team effort between us. Working together, we can accomplish great things! I take care of children, teens, families and adults. I have a particular interest in weight loss and believe strongly in patient education. I want you to be an expert on your own heath! I listen and seek to understand your questions and concerns, and I work as a team with our specialists, pharmacists and others to coordinate your care.

How I thrive

I genuinely believe in the power of physical fitness on overall health and wellness. I raced in triathlons for 18 years and on my days off, you will often find me out running in the mountains, swimming or cycling. I also enjoy working on cars and am currently learning to play the guitar. My happiest moments are enjoying laughs and family time with my wife, daughter and son.
