About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I work in the Medical Oncology Department. I’m glad to have the chance to introduce myself, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.

Biography

I earned my undergraduate, graduate, and medical degrees at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I did my residency and fellowship training at UC San Diego. Afterwards, I remained for a year at UC San Diego as part of the faculty before moving to Los Angeles and Kaiser Permanente’s Los Angeles Medical Center.

About my practice

My practice is limited to oncology patients; other physicians in the department see hematology patients. I am the primary site investigator for the hematology/oncology cancer clinical trials program at the Los Angeles Medical Center site. The Oncology Department uses a team approach, with physicians, nurses, social workers, receptionists, pharmacists, and other staff members all working together to make important contributions to each patient’s managed care plan.

How I thrive

For my patients as well as myself, I believe it is important to strive for a balance between work and the rest of life. It’s important to keep in mind that the stresses and responsibilities of life must be balanced with things that also bring pleasure and joy. Keeping “have to do” and “want to do” as separate areas helps to enable a person to get the most out of life.
