About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page. My name is Kresten B. Pedersen but I go by “Kres.” I am very fortunate to have been with Kaiser Permanente for the last 27 years, both as a practicing optometrist and providing administrative support to the optometry department. I am honored to work with a very dedicated staff that provides excellent vision care to our members.

Biography

I was raised in the Inland Empire. I earned my optometry degree at Pacific University in Oregon. Upon graduation, I returned to California and was in private practice in El Centro and Riverside before joining Kaiser Permanente. My wife and I are empty nesters with my son living in Jackson, Wyoming, and my daughter living in the Inland Empire.

About my practice

Optometry has been very satisfying as I have the privilege to care for patients and their visual needs. At Kaiser Permanente I am a general optometrist and work closely with the ophthalmologist and optical to provide complete vision care. I am glaucoma and therapeutic certified with the State Board of Optometry. Currently I divide my time with clinical practice and administrative support.

How I thrive

My wife and I exercise daily, and using Fitbit I try to get 10,000 steps in every day. I enjoy walking and firmly believe that exercise and being activity is the best medicine that I have for mind, body, and spirit. I enjoy spending time with family and friends.
