About Me

Hello, my name is Michael Bundy and I’m a physician in the Maxillofacial Surgery Department here at Kaiser Permanente. My hope is that you find this page helpful in getting to know me better. Welcome!

Biography

I was born and raised in Delaware, which is also known as “the first state.” I attended both undergraduate and pharmacy school at Florida A&M University. After graduating, I left the sunshine state for the snows of Boston, where I attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. After completing my dental degree, I again chose warmer weather and headed west to UCLA to finish medical school and my residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. I’m very happily married, and we have one awesome son with another on the way! I really enjoy spending time with my family. My wife and I are very active in our church and we also enjoy participating in community service events when we have a chance.

About my practice

I work in a four-member group practice. We take pride in caring for our members as a team. We’ve all known each other for several years and we work very well with one another. We enjoy practicing the full scope of maxillofacial surgery—including orthognathic surgery, TMJ surgery, trauma, and taking care of pathology of the maxilla and mandible. We work extremely hard to ensure that our members receive high-quality, compassionate care. We know you have a choice in where to receive your care, and we’re honored that you trust us with your health. Here at Kaiser Permanente we believe in caring for the health of the whole individual—mind, body, and spirit. I take pride in knowing that my members get my very best.

How I thrive

In my personal time, I recharge by spending time with my wife and son. It gives my great pleasure to see him grow. We’re very active together as a family. I think it’s very important for physicians and nurses to enjoy life outside of the hospital setting, and my family helps me do just that. I also really enjoy spending time with my other family—our department is very much like a family. We try to socialize together outside of work as much as possible. This definitely strengthens our bond and makes our team that much better here at the hospital. Again, I’m glad that you’ve chosen Kaiser Permanente as your health provider, and look forward to helping you care for your health!
