About Me
Hello, I am Thomas Matz.
Biography
I grew up in Tacoma, Washington, and, after graduating high school, I moved to South Bend, Indiana, to attend school at the University of Notre Dame. After Notre Dame, I moved back to Tacoma and taught high school chemistry for six years. I then decided to become a doctor, and enrolled at the University of Washington in Seattle. I later completed my emergency residency training at the University of Connecticut in Hartford. Before working with Kaiser Permanente, I helped train medical students and emergency medicine resident physicians in Las Vegas as an attending physician with the University of Nevada.
About my practice
I work in the Emergency Department and enjoy the teamwork it takes to care for members with acute illnesses and injuries.
How I thrive
I stay balanced by spending time with my wife and family. I enjoy the outdoors and you will find me fishing, camping, or hiking during my time off.
