About Me

I am a native of Atlanta, which is often a rarity! I began my journey into medicine as a labor and delivery nurse and then ventured back to school to become a certified nurse midwife (CNM). I chose this field of medicine because it gives me the ability to be with a woman and her family at one of the most amazing times in their lives. I attended Emory University School of Nursing and received my master's degree in May 2013. In addition to being a CNM, I am also a certified family nurse practitioner. I consider it a pleasure to serve our members on a daily basis.

About my practice

I believe the human body is an awesome instrument that it is capable of great things, and I have witnessed this on many occasions. I pride myself in being able to help women believe in what they are capable of doing. I listen to our members and their wishes for their child's birth, and I collaborate with them to reach the best, safest outcome. I also belong to the American College of Nurse-Midwives and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

How I thrive

"Words are powerful, speak your destiny," is the mantra that I live by. On a daily basis, I speak words of encouragement to myself, my children, my friends, my co-workers and of course, my patients. I also pray daily, and I am active in my church. This helps me thrive.
