About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I am glad to be able to introduce myself to you and tell you about my medical practice. I have worked as an obstetrician and gynecologist for approximately 32 years and feel very fortunate to be involved in the delivery of care to women.
Biography
I was born in the pearl of the Caribbean Sea, the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. During my early childhood I developed an interest in the medical field. My first patient was a small chicken that had a broken leg that was replaced with a wood stick. As time went by, I developed a strong desire to care for people. After graduating from medical school and my residency program, I worked with National Health Service Corps and at the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. In 1987, it was time to transition to a new location. I was attracted to Los Angeles because of its great diversity.
About my practice
For me, Ob/Gyn is a celebration of life. It is a privilege for me to care for women during many important events in their lives, such as prenatal care, menopause, and so on. Medicine is not only about emotional and physical healing but also about building a relationship with my patients and making them partners in keeping themselves well. I am pleased to be your personal physician to help you make each life transition a successful one.
How I thrive
The information overload we're exposed to can be draining. It's important to stay focused on what really matters in life. I keep my balance by maintaining a spiritual connection with others through involvement in different prayer groups. I love to travel and get involved with diverse cultures. I am passionate about reading and like to take walks with my dog.
