About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am glad to share with you a little information about myself. I’m privileged to work with such talented colleagues and staff and to have such great patients. I look forward to partnering with you to care for your health. I use a variety of treatment options, including the use of naturally occurring herbs, to help improve your health.

Biography

I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, and went to medical school at the same Cape Town medical center where the first heart transplant was done. Many members of my family have been involved in medicine, including a grandfather who was a physician. I received numerous awards in medical school for academic excellence. I moved to the United States to continue my medical education and have received academic awards during my residency in Internal medicine and I joined Kaiser Permanente as a gastroenterologist. I am proud to report that my peers voted me as one of the best doctors in gastroenterology.

About my practice

My career in medicine has given me a special opportunity to connect with and help people. Communication is an important part of my practice. When members entrust me with their care, I strive to treat them as I would my own family.

How I thrive

We are so fortunate to have the choice to lead a healthy lifestyle. I fully endorse Kaiser Permanente’s emphasis on healthy living and personally now exercise on a regular basis. I have a wonderful family, love to read, see movies, hike, travel to different areas around the world, and explore new cultures. I enjoy a full social life with my family and a close group of friends.
