About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am pleased to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and patients, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.

Biography

I was born and brought up in India. I wanted to become a doctor ever since I was in high school. I graduated from medical school in 1976. I underwent further training in internal medicine in India until I moved to the United Kingdom in early 1980 and worked in training posts there for three years. Afterwards, I accepted a residency in internal medicine in New York. After completing a fellowship in pulmonary medicine in 1988, I joined Kaiser Permanente and I have worked here ever since.

About my practice

At Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center, My three colleagues and I run the pulmonary medicine department, as well as manage very ill patients in the intensive care unit. I am lucky to be surrounded by such dedicated physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and support staff who truly care about the well-being of our members.

How I thrive

I firmly believe in Kaiser Permanente's philosophy health in body, mind, and spirit. Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I exercise regularly. I eat a vegetarian diet. I am a great believer in the power of meditation, although I must admit that I have not been able to master this art to date. I also love golf.
