About Me
Welcome! I am a board-certified dermatologist specializing primarily in medical dermatology.
Biography
Although I was born in Hong Kong, I consider myself to be from New York. After my undergraduate studies at Duke University in North Carolina and medical school at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, I completed an internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Maryland. I followed that up with my dermatology specialty training at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. My background as an active-duty physician for the US Navy ended after 13 years, with an honorable discharge at the rank of commander. I completed multiple deployments in the Western Pacific and Persian Gulf, spent 6 years as a flight surgeon, including a tour with the Blue Angels, and was head of the Dermatology Outpatient Clinic at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. As a civilian private practice physician, I served as the dermatology section chief at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. I am currently the physician area lead for the Kaiser Permanente La Mesa Medical Offices Dermatology Department.

How I thrive
I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and pets, and I stay active by training in kung fu and hot yoga.
