About Me

Thank you for visiting my Web page! I really enjoy getting to know my members and their parents, and I hope this will help you get to know me, too.

Biography

I’m a native San Diegan who was born at Sharp Memorial Hospital. I grew up only about 10 minutes from my current office and went to Patrick Henry High School. I really enjoy seeing old friends and classmates in my office or around the neighborhood. From about age 6, I was determined to become a veterinarian and brought home every injured bird, frog, or bug that my parents would allow in the house. Sometime during college, I realized how much I enjoyed taking care of children and changed my focus to human medicine. I graduated from USC Keck School of Medicine in 1994, and completed my residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in 1997. I met my husband in college and we’ve been together more than 25 years! We have two sons, and they are so much fun. We enjoy playing tennis and taking our dog for hikes in the hills around our house. In the summer, you can probably find us in a pool almost every day. In the winter, we try to get away for at least one trip to enjoy the snow.

About my practice

I’ve been with Kaiser Permanente for more than 15 years now, and I’m proud to work with such a fine group of pediatricians. If I’m not available on a certain day, I know that the other physicians will take very good care of my members. One of my favorite things about being a pediatrician is the opportunity it gives me to get to know both my members and their parents. Watching children grow and develop is very rewarding, and I’m honored to be a part of my members' lives.

How I thrive

Staying healthy is very important to me. I enjoy walks with my dog, playing sports with my husband and sons, and working out at the gym to keep active. I used to sing in choirs and for weddings, and I still sing along to the radio until my kids ask me to stop! I also enjoy playing piano in the evenings to relax.
