Hello and welcome to my Web page. Bienvenidos! I have been working at Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles since 1986 and am very excited by all the new changes and technology that are happening here.
I am originally from the Midwest, but have lived all over the United States. I originally wanted to be a research scientist, but I switched to medicine because I wanted to be less theoretical and more practical. I feel that I made a good choice when I went into medicine-and another good choice when I came to Kaiser-Permanente.
Surgery is typically a stressful event for patients and their families. We are privileged to be able to care for people at such an important time in their lives. Our department is extremely safety-oriented, and we work together as a team to help ensure the smoothest and safest possible surgical experience.
Balancing work and relaxation is very hard nowadays, with so many demands on people's time. It is important for everyone to set limits on work so that we have time for ourselves. I practice tai chi regularly for emotional and physical balance, and I salsa dance on the weekends to use up energy and have fun.
