About Me

I grew up in Ohio and was the first person in my extended family to go into medicine. I received my medical degree at the University of California, Irvine, where I was fortunate to be amongst staff and patients from many different cultures and ethnicities. I was immediately attracted to the field of women's medicine and love the variety of obstetrical care, office-based practice, and surgery that obstetrics and gynecology provides. I completed my ob-gyn residency training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, where I also met my wonderful husband. I am honored to be recognized as a 5280 Magazine Top Doctor in 2022 and was also honored there in 2020.

About my practice

I began my career in private practice in Reno, Nevada, and enjoyed developing patient relationships. I made the decision to come to Kaiser Permanente Colorado because I was searching for the ability to provide comprehensive, preventative, high-quality medical care to women. I enjoy caring for women at all stages of life. I have taken a special interest in providing pediatric gynecology care through the teenage years, as well as holistic care of reproductive and menopausal aged women. I really enjoy educating patients and empowering them to take an active role in their health and well-being. I love the integrated health care system that Kaiser Permanente provides, and the ability to collaborate with my patients' other health care providers. I also value the thorough computerized medical record and the ease with which I can communicate with patients through kp.org emails when we cannot be face-to-face.

How I thrive

As with most women, it is a daily challenge to balance work, health, and home. I have 2 awesome daughters, and my husband and I try to stay present and have fun when we’re all together. I love traveling, spending time in the mountains, hiking, cycling, and just about any outdoor activity! I find balance in yoga, good conversation and laughter shared with friends and family, and just trying to keep the bigger picture and greater good in mind.
