About Me

Welcome! I look forward to meeting you and partnering with you to improve your health and well-being. I am happy to have the opportunity to share my credentials and interests with you. I hope that knowing a bit about your personal physician will help you feel more comfortable when we meet.

Biography

I am a native Californian. I was born and raised in San Jose, went to medical school at USC (Los Angeles), completed my family medicine residency in Los Angeles (Kaiser Permanente), and continued south to beautiful San Diego. I have been with San Diego Kaiser since 1997. My family (wife, son, and daughter) and I live in the 4S ranch community.

About my practice

My personal practice is a true family medicine practice, with members of all ages and a large variety of chronic and acute medical issues. I enjoy performing minor surgical procedures and joint injections at the office.

How I thrive

I am a sports fan, and a weekend warrior, athlete. My hobbies include softball, soccer, and cycling for exercise. I love to hike the many trails around our county. I am also a skier, and enjoy trips to various resorts in the winter. I like to read literature (mostly non-fiction, with an occasional WWII historical book thrown in). I read every night before bed, and with any quiet free time I may have with my two children around. I dabble in creative writing as well, and hope to someday complete the next great American novel.
