About Me

Hello. Thank you for visiting my Web page.

Biography

I am originally from New York. I attended college in Philadelphia and medical school in Syracuse, New York. My wife and I and our two children moved to Los Angeles in 1989 when I first joined the Ophthalmology Department at the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. I am proud to be a physician at Kaiser Permanente. So many good things have happened to me while I have been here. My wife and I have watched our children grow and thrive. We certainly are glad to be here in California where we enjoy the excitement of the entertainment industry, museums, and sports.

About my practice

One of the best qualities of our Ophthalmology Department is the friendly and professional attitude of the doctors and the supporting staff. The Ophthalmology Department at the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center is one of the finest in the nation. Our hospital is a tertiary medical center so we are accustomed to caring for complex and sometimes difficult conditions. We work together as a team. I enjoy doing cataract surgery, as well as surgery for glaucoma, pterygia and other eye disorders. I attend seminars and the annual Academy of Ophthalmology meeting to keep up with the latest clinical and surgical developments in the field. My partners and I help each other with friendship and good advice.

How I thrive

I thrive by staying close to my family, jogging regularly, reading, studying, and being musical. I get inspiration from my colleagues and patients. It is important to be mentally prepared for hard work. Inspiration is key. A good doctor not only knows how to care for patients but also has the energy and enthusiasm to do a little extra for everyone.
