About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to introduce you to my practice and give you a bit of insight as to who I am—both inside and outside the office.
Biography
I’m originally from New York, although my education took me across the country. I went to college at Tulane University in New Orleans, graduated in 1971, and attended medical school at Northwestern University in Chicago. I did my medical internship at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, my residency at Rush University Medical Center back in Chicago, and my cardiology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles. I first worked as a cardiologist in Hawaii and joined Kaiser Permanente in San Diego in 1981.
About my practice
My practice is a pure consultative cardiology practice. I travel to Scripps Memorial Hospital each week to work in the cardiac catheter lab. I will be retiring from the partnership at the end of 2014, but I’ll continue to work for Kaiser Permanente as a per diem physician. I have been a Kaiser Permanente physician since 1980 and the experience has been wonderful.
How I thrive
I try to remain quite active and live a healthy lifestyle outside of work. This includes almost daily backcountry hikes in North County, weekly games of tennis and golf, and lots of time with my wife and Golden Retriever. I have two children (both in medical school), who will hopefully also be Kaiser Permanente MDs someday!
