About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I hope you find the information helpful. I am very happy and fortunate to be an orthopedic surgeon and enjoy working at Kaiser Permanente.
Biography
I love my work and wanted to be a doctor for as long as I can remember. I grew up locally and went to Arcadia High School. I then spent 13 years at USC for undergraduate, medical school, and orthopedic residency. During medical school, I spent three months as a medical missionary in Uganda, which was an amazing experience. In the last several years I have volunteered in Sierra Leone with Mercy Ships and taught and operated in Vietnam, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.
About my practice
I am fortunate to be a part of a great orthopedic team that has 14 surgeons who all subspecialize. My subspecialty is the shoulder. We also have 10 physician assistants and 6 podiatrists. We work well together and I am proud to be a member of this team.
How I thrive
Besides just trying to keep up with my grandkids, I love to surf in the summer and ski in the winter as well as play tennis all year round. I just bought a mountain bike! Although I wrecked my first bike after having it only six weeks, I'm now more careful and enjoy great mountain workouts. Orthopedics is a great field of medicine since it has so many ties to sports.
