About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself.

Biography

I was born in Japan while my father was stationed there with the Army. After living there and in many parts of the United States, my father retired from the Army and we moved to his hometown of San Diego. I went to high school in San Diego and then moved away for college and medical school. After completing my surgical training, I was in private practice for 10 years. In 2009, I had the opportunity to move back to San Diego and join Kaiser Permanente.

About my practice

I have many years of experience in the practice of general surgery. However, I believe that effective communication with my patients is just as important as my experience and skills in the operating room. I believe in spending as much time with my patients as necessary to ensure that all their questions are answered and they have a full understanding of their diagnosis and treatment plan, including any proposed surgical procedures.

How I thrive

Spending time with my wife and son, as well as my extended family, is critical to my well-being and happiness. Additionally, I am a music lover and music is always a big part of my life. I play guitar, write music, and enjoy live music performances whenever I can. My wife and also I enjoy walking on the beach and bike riding.
