About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. After earning my medical degree, I came to Southern California. I completed my residency in internal medicine, as well as further training in pulmonary/critical care medicine, at UC Irvine. After training, I spent four years in private practice at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, where I served as the medical directors of respiratory care services, pulmonary function lab, pulmonary rehabilitation, and the adult cystic fibrosis center.

Biography

I was born in Pennsylvania but spent my childhood growing up in Taiwan. I came back to the U.S. for high school and since then have slowly migrated from the East Coast to the West Coast. I love the sunny weather we have in Southern California and enjoy gardening and growing fruit trees in our yard.

About my practice

I practice a mix of pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. I am also board certified in obesity medicine, but I only practice obesity medicine in the context of sleep apnea at Kaiser Permenente. I am a firm believer in working together as a team with my patients, and I look forward to being your partner in good health!

How I thrive

My gardening specialty is growing different mango varieties in our yard, and trying to convince people that the supermarket mangoes are not the best ones out there!
