About Me

I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. I was introduced to medicine through my father who was an obstetrician/gynecologist (Ob/Gyn) physician. The thought of practicing medicine to help others has always been foundational to me.

About my practice

Throughout college, I worked behind the scenes in an emergency room. No matter what time of day it was, there was always something exciting going on. Through all of the action, I was able to observe the efficient and effective teamwork between the doctors as well as the staff to provide the best care we could for our patients and knew that someday I wanted to be a part of it. While I have always enjoyed learning about my father’s role as an Ob/Gyn physician, I initially wanted to carve out my own niche in medicine. Ultimately, however, I could not resist this fascinating and fulfilling field of medicine, and am happy to practice obstetrics and gynecology to this day. I love collaborating with my colleagues on a daily basis which is a significant part of providing the best patient care possible. My philosophy of care is to treat the person as a whole. To me, health embodies mental, physical, and spiritual well-being which I strive to provide in creating a trusting and relaxing environment for my patients. I serve as the Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee Physician Representative as well as the Emergency Department Liaison for the Ob/Gyn department. In addition, I serve as an advocate for patient contraception.

How I thrive

I strive to eat well, stay active and maintain quality relationships with my family and friends. When I am not in the clinic, I enjoy geocoding or determining the geographic coordinates of certain locations with my kids. I also love hiking, camping, and spending time with loved ones. As a family, we have fun observing and caring for our mystical Jackson Chameleons.
