About Me
I was born and raised in Canada, where I started my profession in health care about 30 years ago. I have had a wonderful career helping people as a respiratory therapist, an ER nurse, an international flight nurse, a critical care nurse, and now as a nurse anesthetist. I graduated as a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. My family consists of my husband and a mixed terrier named Izzy. We share a love of the outdoors, taking our vacations throughout Oregon to the mountains, ocean, and desert. I feel blessed to have both a great profession and a wonderful personal life at home.
About my practice
CRNAs are one of many types of providers in the anesthesia department. It is my privilege to work with excellent CRNAs and anesthesiologists, making this an ideal place to further my career. I feel confident that we anesthesia providers have our patients’ best interests at heart and are always eager to help. My goal is to make each member’s procedure/surgery as comfortable and safe as possible.
How I thrive
Life has its ups and downs. Despite this, I am never given a challenge without being given the tools to succeed. Sometimes it takes awhile to discover what those tools are, but just knowing they are there can be the start of the road to success. I spend much of my time with my husband and our dog, working in the garden and making renovations on our new home. We also enjoy hosting family/friends, taking long walks, watching movies, grilling outdoors, and playing yard games with friends.
