About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page. Having an engineering-type personality, I became interested in optometry while in high school. It seemed like a good marriage of health care and the science and physics behind the behavior of light.

Biography

I'm an easygoing, soft-spoken fellow, married with 2 grown daughters, and I'm a relatively new grandpa. A native San Diegan, I live in the east county. Optometry took me to New England for a few years for school, but it wasn't long until I returned to be with my family and begin my career at Kaiser Permanente in the late 70s. I have now been practicing at the Kaiser Permanente Bonita Medical Offices for over 35 years, where I am currently the lead optometrist. I can honestly say I enjoy the challenges and interactions I have with members. There is something special knowing that I am helping to maintain their precious gift of sight.

About my practice

Currently I practice general optometry, and I am fortunate to have some of the finest equipment available to assist me, not to mention the great staff I am privileged to work with on a daily basis.

How I thrive

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family as well as hiking, biking and tinkering with mechanisms and electronics. I have a few classic cars that keep me busy and hope to someday increase my involvement in amateur radio.
