About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I’m looking forward to working with you to care for your health.

Biography

I was born in the Philippines and started out as a respiratory therapist. I was then granted a scholarship and completed medical school. After getting married, I moved to New York with my wife and eventually we had two kids—a boy and a girl. I completed my residency training in internal medicine and fellowship in geriatric medicine. My family and I then moved to sunny California, where I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2006. I am currently board-certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine, as well as hospice and palliative care medicine. I consider myself a behaviorist—empathizing with members and always fascinated with family, social, and cultural interaction. Currently, I’m also involved in training physicians interested in geriatric medicine as a faculty member in the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program.

About my practice

Being a doctor for the older adult is both challenging and enjoyable. My team in the Department of Continuing Care and Geriatrics focuses on providing for the needs of seniors. We not only treat the member but also serve as a support system for the whole family. You can also find our nurses and physicians working in different skilled nursing facilities and nursing homes. Our goal is to keep seniors as independent and healthy as possible.

How I thrive

My family gives me the most joy in my life. Playing with my children, whether it involves sports, puzzles, or even video games, keeps me happy. I also enjoy nature and gardening, walking, and weight lifting. I believe that good health comes from a healthy lifestyle.
