About Me
I was born and raised in Michigan, and I love the water. After completing my undergraduate degree, I worked for 10 years in sales and marketing and volunteered at various group homes for abused children. I realized my mission is to help others, and decided to return to graduate school to complete my master's degree in counseling and psychology. I have practiced as a mental health clinician for almost 10 years, and it has been a very rewarding experience. I have provided mental health care and substance abuse treatment for inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
About my practice
I currently work in the department of behavioral health as an adult therapist and mental health intensive outpatient program (IOP) coordinator. I provide individual and group psychotherapy. I love working with members providing therapeutic interventions, crises management, problem solving skills, stress management, relaxation training and coping skills training. Our department is caring and nurturing, and I am surrounded by a great team of professionals. I feel privileged to work in such a supportive environment.
How I thrive
Yoga and kickboxing restore balance in my daily living. I also love nature walks, picnics and outdoor concerts. Being one with nature brings me comfort.
