I grew up outside of Atlanta and have lived in Georgia from childhood through medical school. After graduation from medical school, I decided to explore opportunities outside of Georgia, so I went to the University of Chicago for residency. There, I initially studied both internal medicine and pediatrics. Afterwards, I worked as a hospitalist, but I then returned to training to specialize in hematology and oncology, which is where my heart has always been. After over eight years in Chicago, I returned to Georgia to be closer to family and for the warmer weather. I initially took a position as assistant professor at my alma mater, the Medical College of Georgia. I thoroughly enjoyed working in Augusta, but I am grateful for the opportunity to work at Kaiser Permanente in Atlanta with wonderful colleagues, as well as exploring my various interests in the Atlanta area.
