About Me
Welcome to my Web page. For more than 20 great years, I have had the privilege of being a general internal medicine physician (an internist) at Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park and now the Diamond Bar Medical Offices. I care for members in the clinic and hospitalized members, including admissions and rounds. I have had the pleasure of taking care of many members!
Biography
I am a native Californian born near San Francisco. My father was an accomplished internist who inspired me to seek my own medical career. My parents instilled in me a desire to study, learn, and care for others. When not at work, I enjoy the company of my wife, daughter, and son. I dabble in music and play the guitar very badly. I read and study a lot, both medical and nonmedical topics. I was the first director of medical education at Baldwin Park, helping to develop and accredit our continuing medical education program. More recently, I have worked on the medical quality committee.
About my practice
The Internal Medicine Department cares for adults with medical problems. Diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol are all important health problems that if not treated can lead to stroke, heart attack, and death. To me, every Kaiser Permanente member is a unique individual to partner with to pursue health. I encourage members to ask questions, lead healthy lifestyles, and recognize the importance of their prescribed medicines.
How I thrive
Being healthy is a full-time job! I enjoy time with my family and friends. I exercise regularly including walking and swimming. I try to follow my own advice to eat right and not too much, get enough sleep, and not smoke. I am passionate about medicine. The quest for good health is a daily journey.
