About Me

Welcome to my Web page! I'm happy to offer this chance for you to learn more about me and the philosophy that guides my hospital practice.

Biography

I was born in Los Angeles and then moved with my family to the San Gabriel Valley was 6 years old. I went to UCLA for my undergraduate degree in biochemistry and then subsequently attended the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine for my medical degree abroad. I travelled to St. Maarten and the United Kingdom, and then finished my clinical training in Bakersfield. I completed my internship and residency training in internal medicine at Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles. I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 2008 as a hospitalist (inpatient doctor), and I am involved in our very own Kaiser Permanente Inland Empire Internal Medicine Residency Program and Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine, training our next generation of doctors and medical students.

About my practice

The hospital is usually not a place where people like to be. My job as a physician is to deliver care and to educate members about their clinical conditions, what they can do to help with their symptoms, and how to improve their health so they can spend time with their family and friends rather than being in the hospital. This entails having a comprehensive, multidisciplinary plan involving all of the member’s medical team to ensure a safe discharge and aftercare.

How I thrive

I'm happily married with 2 children, who are now adults. As an empty-nester, I have time to travel with my wife to see our culturally diverse world. I enjoy walks in the park, meeting up with friends, and watching the Travel Channel for inspiration for my next destination, giving me a chance to recharge and mindful relaxation.
