About Me

Originally from Michigan, I came to Colorado for my training and, like many people, the weather and active lifestyle. I stay busy with outdoor activities including mountain biking and skiing, as well as following my kids in all their activities.

About my practice

I believe that engaging patients to play an active role in their care is the key to the best experience and superior health outcomes. Clear and direct communication lays the foundation for the provider-patient relationship, and I pride myself on always trying to listen attentively with an open mind to understand all aspects of a symptom or issue. With an outstanding team of nurses, pharmacists and advanced practice providers, we provide excellent care to treat all facets of GI diseases and focus on maintaining GI health. I believe in treating illnesses with the long-term goal of achieving and maintaining wellness. A healthy diet, exercise and focus on balancing work life and personal time is essential to a long and quality life. I care for adults age 18-90, and most of the patients we see in the Gastroenterology department are referred by their primary care provider.

How I thrive

Part of Kaiser Permanente’s mission is to improve the health of the communities we serve. I have been involved in helping provide specialty care advice to safety net clinics around the state. It is gratifying to know that we impact the care of patients who do not have access to specialty physicians.
